Saturday July 12

Check the MEGADOCK website for the leaderboard after Thursday and Friday's action: cut and paste into your browser -- http://www.megadocktournament.com Thunderstorms and windy conditions kept half the fleet in port yesterday, choosing to take it as their layday (each boat fishes two of the three day tournament).

The HMY VIKING 60 released two sails on Thursday, and Captain Ryan Higgins has THE plan today, to get back on the leaderboard. Check out Charlie Clark's slideshow on this beauty at http://www.yachtpics.com/new_boats/60-102_viking/index.html This boat is available. Go to www.hmy.com for full details, specs, and equipment.
Top Wahoo is the 72.7 pounder caught Thursday on the Viking 68 "Palmetto Pride", with a circle hook and mono leader. Nice job guys!

The tournament-leading dolphin was weighed-in yesterday at 43.5, caught on "Reel Patience", Jamie Zachary's new Viking 54.

Captain Jon Z and his crew are ready to help HMY customers in the event of mechanical issues, but so far Jon's been working to keep the HMY golf cart running (it's not a Viking).

Hear live VHF broadcasts all day, but don't miss the live webcam of the weigh-ins! They'll start around 4:30 pm.

Tight lines, Mike

HMY Viking Megadock Day 1 Thurs 7/10/08

To follow the action with LIVE hookups and releases on VHF visit the link below:

Weigh-ins will be live on Webcam. HMY customers in Viking Yachts far outnumber the field. We'll see if they dominate the fishing.
HMY and Viking Yachts were acknowledged as primary sponsors at the Captain's Meeting last night, and we're proud to participate in such a well run tournament.
Gotta run, lines in the water!

HMY-Viking Charleston Megadock Tournament

HMY and Viking will be well represented at the Megadock Tournament at the City Marina in Charleston. With an impressive field of 75 hard-core battle wagons, the pressure will be on the new HMY 60 with Captain Ryan and Rhett, expected to score early and often. Tram Colket's beautiful new Viking 50 "Miss Magnolia" is a showpiece you won't want to miss. Both are new models, so make sure you get a look -and an HMY hat or visor.
With HMY's Charleston office at the Marina, please stop in for information on all our Viking, Viking Sport Cruiser, Riviera, and Mainship models. Rumor has it that special deals are available during the tournament!
Kickoff and Registration is today, 7/9/08, fishing tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday.
Follow the action, including live scoring reports at the official tournament website. Or call your local HMY office from Charleston to Fort Lauderdale
