We're back from Charleston, where 79 boats competed in a terrific tournament that ended Saturday night. It wasn't the best from a fishing or weather standpoint, but the camaraderie showed what owning a boat is all about: making new friends and new memories, and having a great time.
Our HMY VIKING 60 finished in 14th Place with 3 sailfish releases. Time breaks all ties, otherwise Captain Ryan, Rhett and the boys caught and released as many as the #9 boat.
Top boat was "Cerveza" with 6 sails released. Five of them were caught by Nicole Russel, making her 1st Place Lady Angler, AND 1st Place Youth Angler. Take those kids fishing!
Jamie Zachrich's son Jason took the 1st Place Dolphin prize with his 43.5# winner, caught on the HMY Viking 54 "Reel Patience".
The 1st Place Wahoo at 72.7# went to Billy Ford on the HMY Viking 68 "Palmetto Pride". Congratulations guys!
McKenzie and her crew ran a super tournament -- They stayed in the background, but were right there when needed.
HMY and VIKING YACHTS are proud to be the Primary Sponsor of this non-profit tournament.
We'll be back!
